Linken's Icon[edit]

I think the purge icon should be switched in position with the Linkens icon. Purgability is more important than Linkens, and generally information is arranged from left to right in order of importance. I also feel like the Linkens icon should be hidden by default; it only triggers on direct targeted abilities, so it seems unnecessary to me to have the greyed out icon visible on every ability, even when it's something like a passive. It could actually be programmed in the ability template to only default to the greyed icon when it's a Target Hero/Unit ability, and I think that'd be a good idea. --Pigbuster 14:24, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Illusion Usable[edit]

It might be a good idea to make an icon for "usable by illusions", using Manta Style as the symbol. Knowing what abilities illusions can use is nice, but the real benefit is that it could be added to item abilityboxes, since illusion rules are confusing and that would help a lot. --Pigbuster 14:28, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Dull Icon Saturation[edit]

I think I'm going to add a bit of color back to the dulled-out icons. Things like the purging blade are kinda hard to make out without color, and just a hint of it is a big improvement. --Pigbuster 15:18, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Misleading Purge Icon[edit]

It may be more prudent to use a dispel icon rather than a purge icon as a purge is not what this typically refers to (on abilities and such). Perhaps a new icon could be added to this and updated in Template:Ability so it properly reflects the ability to dispel (which purge applies). In addition one of the icons' text shows the text "Cannot be dispelled." unlike the others showing the term "purged". I think it would be best here, as well, to use the term "dispelled" as it is, again, the term that is actually being referred to. -LastTalon (talk) • (contribs) 20:58, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Sidenote: I'm alright with the diffusal blade icon being used, I'm simply referring to the semantic difference between calling it a purge or dispel on the pages. -LastTalon (talk) • (contribs) 21:03, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Changed the hover-text to dispel for all. The icon should be fine (purges apply all normal dispel). I did not change the symbol name though, because it is used too much already. Changing it would require to adapt it wherever it is used. Bu3ny (talk) 00:59, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. I didn't know if it would be a good idea to just go and change it considering it was so widespread. I'm also not the best with templates, but if it wouldn't be too confusing could an alias be added for the name? -LastTalon (talk) • (contribs) 02:56, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Aghanim Symbol description[edit]

Can I change the description for Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. from "Can be improved by Aghanim's Scepter." to "Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter." in order to shorten it and match the in-game wording? --Psion1C (talk) 23:14, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Sure. ~~ Bu3ny (talk) 23:55, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

New UAM icons[edit]

I made some new icons for attack modifiers, since desolator isn't an UAM anymore. Any feedback or is it ok to implement them? I'm not 100% sure about using satanic to display UAMs, since it might be mistaken to mean life steal, but there are only lifesteal items left that have UAMs. Does anyone have a better idea what to use? --Litzsch (talk) 14:35, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

I also made alternative icons using Mana Break, though I'm not sure what should be used. --Litzsch (talk) 14:43, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
We have already discussed this here. I vote for just removing the UAM icons entirely, and add a note to abilities which are still UAMs. --Psion1C (talk) 15:11, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Yea, it'll be removed. In fact, we can remove it from the ability box and the symbol template right now. Give it like 3 patches and we won't have any UAMs anymore. ~~ Bu3ny (talk) 23:53, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Do you want me to run the bot and remove the uam parameter from all ability templates? --Litzsch (talk) 23:55, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Yea, you can do that. ~~ Bu3ny (talk) 00:13, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
The bot is running. Should the | uamtext = parameter also be removed? --Litzsch (talk) 00:21, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Wait, how about old abilities. --Elite stay (talk) 00:36, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
I thought remove it from all and remove it from the template? I stopped the bot for now until we clarify that. Else I can have the bot undo its edits if necessary. I'm going to bed for today; will finish or undo it tomorrow depending on your decision. --Litzsch (talk) 00:39, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
"| uam = No" should be removed anyway I think. --Elite stay (talk) 00:41, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Uam and uamtext should both be removed. But yes, we first need to deal with old abilities. Just adding a note as a replacement should be fine. ~~ Bu3ny (talk) 01:37, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I went through them and moved stuff to the note where needed. You can remove them all now, uam and uamtext. ~~ Bu3ny (talk) 02:24, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
