Witch Blade
- This ability got removed in the 7.35 gameplay patch.
- Grants the wielder's next attack True Strike when not on cooldown. The cooldown triggers upon successfully landing an attack on an enemy.
- Successive attacks with Witch Blade do not stack but refresh the duration instead.
- The attack first applies the debuff, then its own damage.
- Deals damage in 1-second intervals, starting 1 second after the debuff is placed, resulting in 4 instances.
- Can deal up to 400% of intelligence as damage to the target ( before reductions).
- Shares cooldown with Witch Blade.
- Witch Blade on Revenant's Brooch uses a custom cooldown system. It places a debuff on the user that prevents it from proccing again.
- This debuff's duration is affected by percentage-based cooldown reductions upon initially being placed.
- It is also not affected by cooldown reset sources or by flat cooldown reduction sources.
- This means it is possible for it to get de-synchronized with Witch Blade's cooldown.
- Losing the debuff in any way allows the item to immediately proc Witch Blade again.
- This ability got reworked into the current Phantom Province in the 7.35 gameplay patch.
- Interrupts the wielder's channeling abilities upon cast.
- Consumes a charge upon performing an attack, regardless if the attack misses or hits.
- For
ranged heroes, this is on projectile launch.
- Phantom Province replaces the projectile particle of
ranged heroes with a blue projectile.
- For
- Grants the following effects while active:
- The next have attacks True Strike.
- Can attack units with attack immunity normally, but not untargetable units (e.g. Shadow Realm).
- Changes only the wielder's regular physical attack damage dealt to magical attack damage.
- This includes all attack damage bonuses, including conditional attack damage sources, but not Mana Break sources.
- The wielder's attack damage now works with spell lifesteal and spell damage amplification, but not lifesteal.
- Fully works with instant attacks, with each individual instance taking a charge.
- This means abilities that perform multiple instances in a single cast drain a charge for each instance, not just one charge.
- However, Phantom Province neither changes nor affects the following damage types:
- Damage that is dealt in a separate instance (e.g. Searing Arrows).
- Reduces target's Magic Resistance on attack landing.
- Magic Resistance Reduction is applied before damage.
- Cleave sources and Psi Blades deal no damage while the ability is active.
- Does not prevent melee splash sources from dealing damage.
- Different from Pierce the Veil, Phantom Province can deal damage on Spell Immunity units.
- Successive casts while not having the buff puts the ability on a -second cooldown to prevent accidental usage.
- The -second cooldown only starts upon using up all attack charges or upon losing the buff.
- Can be cast again while already having the buff, to manually remove the buff and trigger the cooldown prematurely.
- Phantom Province only works while the item is in the inventory.
- Moving the item in or out of the backpack causes the buff to no longer work.
