Can be cast while channelling.
Fade Time: 0.5
Move Speed Bonus: 40
Duration: 5
- Does not interrupt the caster's or the target's channeling abilities upon cast.
- Does not have to face the targeted ally to cast Glimmer on them.
- ↓↓ Double-tapping automatically target self.
- Can be cast on Couriers and creeps.
- Cannot be cast on invulnerable units, wards or buildings.
- Grants the target an invisibility buff with a 0.5-second fade delay.
- As long as the buff is present, the target will keep turning invisible.
- During the fade delay, the target can still cast abilities, use items and perform attacks.
- Grants the following effects while fully invisible:
- Phased and 40 flat movement speed bonus. Stacks with all other movement speed bonus.
- While invisible, the target can turn, pick up or drop items without breaking the invisibility.
- Applies a magical damage barrier on the affected target that absorbs magical damage values, causing several on-damage effects to not trigger within its capacity.
- Stacks additively with the same damage-type barrier sources, and independently with other damage-type barrier sources.
- Has a higher priority than universal damage barriers in the group of damage barriers.
- However, when combined with other damage-negating sources (e.g. Refraction), Glimmer does not absorb any damage until the damage-negation sources expire.
- Invisibility sources with fade delays use the same modifier and do not stack with other invisibility sources of the same type — the longer duration overrides the shorter one.
- Attacking, casting abilities, or using items breaks the invisibility and resets the fade delay.

Trivia[]
- The game files contain an unused Glimmer Cape modifier,
modifier_item_glimmer_cape_building_limit
, which gets placed on buildings that were recently affected by Glimmer Cape. - The modifier lasts for 180 seconds, is undispelable and prevents buildings from getting targeted by Glimmer Cape, as indicated by an unused HUD error message.
- This suggests that at one point in development, likely for patch 7.23, buildings were once considered to be eligible targets, just like Couriers and creeps were made targetable by Glimmer Cape.
