Maverick, The Gambler was a hero which was removed in the 6.07 gameplay patch.

- This is how Lucky Stars bonus gold per attack works:
- Gold granted per Attack Formula: (EventDamage/TargetMaxHP) * SalvageCostRatio * TargetCost (Warcraft III's Pillage Formula)
- Target Cost: How much gold you have to spend to create a unit (Warcraft III Mechanic). Constant.
- For Example:
- Melee Lane Creeps: 120.
- Ranged Lane Creeps: 145.
- Siege Creeps: 210.
- Salvage Cost Ratio: 1%/2%/3%/4%.
- EventDamage: Gambler Right-Click Damage.
- TargetMaxHP: Enemy Hero Max Health.
- So if Gambler deals 60 auto-attack damage to a ranged creep that has 300 HP. He gains (60/300) * 0.04 * 145 = 1.16 gold per attack.

- Old: Ranged Agility hero, with reckless attacks that can yield powerful results or do nothing. Can learn Ante Up, Roulette, Lucky Stars, and All In.
- New: Maverick was a down-on-his-luck peasant for most of his life, until poker became popular in Stormwind. He made a great deal of money through his impeccable luck. After losing it all to the Sentinel heroes on poker night, he threw his lot in with them to earn his money back. Strength - 16 + 1.8 Agility - 16 + 1.8 Intelligence - 21 + 2.6. Learns Ante Up, Roulette, Lucky Stars, and All In. Attack range of 500.
- Increased Roulette damage from 20/25/30/35 times enemy hero level to 20/25/30/35 times enemy hero level + 4.
- Reduced Agility from 21 + 2.6 to 16 + 1.8.
- Increased Intelligence from 16 + 1.8 to 21 + 2.6.
- Lucky Stars
- Reduced proc damage against heroes from 500 to 250. (Now matches damage against structures)
- Increased proc chance from 1%/2%/3%/4% to 2%/3%/4%/6%.

- Added a 1500/2000/2500 damage cap to All In. (Previously All In dealt a random damage amount between 1 and Gambler's current gold amount)
- Rescaled chance to fail from 15%/10%/5% to (All In Damage Dealt/100)%. The higher the damage All In would dealt the higher the chance All In has to fail. Maximum chance to fail: 25% (Damage Cap 2500).
- Increased mana cost from 150/200/275 to 150/200/300.
- Reduced cooldown from 60 to 15.
