Dota 2 Wiki editors must abide by our editing rules. Violators may be blocked for a certain amount of time, depending on the nature of the violation.
Language Related
American English is preferred. Do try to follow the in-game spelling (or Valve's official spelling) for the following items:
- Mechanics
- Anything that is ability related (e.g. descriptions, names, modifiers, etc.)
- Main hero/item pages
Temporary Blocks
- Temporary blocks will be issued in cases of:
- Vandalism
- Leaving abusive comments on any pages
- Re-reverting admin edits without proper proofs/reason
- Inserting erroneous information
- Advertising of any sort, including Dota-related products/sites/social media profiles
- Intentionally circumventing the abuse filter
- Copyright violations
Permanent Blocks
- Permanent blocks will be issued in cases of:
- Repeated violations of the rules above
- Abusive behavior toward other users
- Evading a previous ban
- Sock puppetry
- Spam/advertising bots
