Jimmy "DeMoN" Ho is a professional Dota 2 player and currently playing for Digital Chaos Digital Chaos.

Professional Career[edit]

Early Career[edit]

DeMoN first appeared on the scene with DXD. He was found in team Hi2u soon after[1], and was selected for Team USA in January 2008.[2] In February 2008, DeMoN surprisingly announced that he would be leaving Hi2u,[3] but was nevertheless picked up again by Hi2u after one month.[4] In March 2008, Hi2u was picked up by American eSport organization CheckSix. [5]

Citing that x6 players lacked the motivation to train and play anymore, DeMoN joined Russian powerhouse Rush3D Rush3D.[6]

Evil Geniuses and SMM 2009[edit]

Evil Geniuses Evil Geniuses formed their own DotA division in 2009, taking in DeMoN along with ex-MYM captain Fear. However, due to sponsorship problems, the team disbanded in December, leaving DeMoN teamless ahead of the SMM Grand National DotA Tournament in Malaysia.[7] DeMoN became part of PokerIdol PokerIdol to participate in SMM 2009, and went with three wins and a loss to Cybertime in the group stage.[8] However, PokerIdol did not go far into the knockout stages and Chinese teams dominated the tournament.[9]

BFB, and[edit]

At SMM 2009, DeMoN met his eventual teammates from MYM, MaNia and PusHer. They discussed plans in having DeMoN join MYM.[10] However, it did not go through, as DeMoN eventually joined BFB, which became in December 2009[11] right after their strong performance in the Farm4Fame finals.[12] After more sponsorship issues, has pulled out as DeMoN and co. found another sponsor in the shape of Nirvana.[13] Nirvana Nirvana participated in Electronic Sports World Cup 2010 and achieved 4th place.

DeMoN eventually found his way into MeetYourMakers MeetYourMakers after's disbandment.[14] In MYM, DeMoN has shown his potential starting with a third place in Razer Global Challenge.[15] MYM has consistently placed top 3 in most European tournaments such as Farm4Fame and PickLeague, cementing their place as one of the best European teams in the DotA world. Despite that, MYM has failed to advance from the group stage during the first edition of World DotA Championship in China. MYM was invited to participate in the first ever Dota 2 tournament The International, and achieved a result of 4th place after strong performances by DeMoN's Puck.[16] However, MYM players decided to part ways with the organization right after the tournament.[17]

Evil Geniuses Return[edit]

In September 2011, Evil Geniuses Evil Geniuses announced their return to the scene by creating their brand new Dota 2 team, which included DeMoN as well as the likes of MiseRy and Fear.[18] EG participated in the second edition of World DotA Championship, but was knocked out in the quarter-finals.[19] Also participating in various other Asian tournaments, they have created a controversy by pulling out of SMM 2011[20] and failing to advance from the group stage of G-League. After G-League, the players return from their trip to China and switched their focus on to Dota 2. EG was joint fifth place in Infused Cups. Another controversy has been created as EG pulled out of The Premier League, citing scheduling problems.[21] EG finished third at the end of the 3 months long The Defense. However, made an impressive stride with EG when placing second at the Corsair Vengeance Cup, running through Na'Vi, and most other teams they faced by picking Sven in almost every game, in a best of 3 series to enter the final against No Tidehunter, where they lost 2-1.

DeMoN was released from the Evil Geniuses squad in September 2013.

Team Dignitas[edit]

DeMoN joined Team Dignitas Team Dignitas in October 2013. The team disbanded in November 2013.

MVP Phoenix[edit]

DeMoN joined MVP Phoenix MVP Phoenix in November 2013 to compete in the Nexon Sponsorship League Season 2. He left the team after winning the tournament.

Team Dog[edit]

DeMoN formed Team Dog Team Dog in February 2014 with MiSeRy, Pajkatt, smulgullig, and Fogged. He left the team in March 2014.

Team Liquid[edit]

DeMoN joined Team Liquid Team Liquid in April 2014 after the departure of FLUFFNSTUFF.[22] He left the team shortly after The International 2014.[23]
